Background

RAGLAB started out in 2002 creating interesting, sustainable pieces that are ageless and individual by using materials sourced from all facets of Australian society. Old For New, the Re-Funkification of clothes and accessories is a specialty.

Designer Natalie Morel-Lewis creates her pieces by deconstructing op-shop pieces, then reconstructing using fabric trims and embroidery to create intelligent, beautiful and quirky jumpers, tops, skirts, dresses and jackets that follow the contour of the feminine form.

Natalie has always been heavily influenced by period costume and costumes that express the sense of the weird and wonderful. RAGLAB Costume has slowly evolved as Natalie returns to her roots and her compulsion to keep creating
